Biomass Briquettes & Pellets
Who Can Apply
- Entrepreneurs, Individuals, Small Scale Industries (SSIs), Partnership Firms/company
etc
- Project developers: This includes individuals, companies, or organizations that are interested in setting up their own briquette/pellet manufacturing plants.
- Implementing agencies: These are organizations that are responsible for implementing the Biomass Programme at the state or district level. They may also be eligible for financial assistance to support their activities.
- Inspection agencies: These are organizations that are responsible for inspecting the briquette/pellet manufacturing plants and ensuring that they meet the required standards. They may also be eligible for financial assistance to support their activities.
Eligibility Criteria for availing subsidy
- Beneficiary ( or 51% stake in case of partnership firm) should be domicile of
Maharashtra - Subsidy is not applicable for old or second hand equipments.
- Beneficiary should have availed loan from bank or FI.
- Technical feasibility: The project must be technically feasible and economically
viable. - Environmental compliance: The project must comply with all applicable
environmental regulations. - Financial capacity: The applicant must have the financial capacity to contribute to
the project cost.
Subsidy available under this scheme
- 20% of the machinery cost or 4 lakh (whichever is minimum)
- Briquette / Pellet Manufacturing plants: Rs. 9 Lakh per MTPH (metric ton/hour)
manufacturing capacity (maximum CFA of Rs 45 Lakhs per plant)
