The Corporation implements Film finance assistance scheme of Government of
Maharashtra, under the name “Darjedar Marathi Chitrapat Arthsahaya Yojna” as following
- Marathi Films which scores 70% and above marks is Graded “A” category and
granted a financial assistance of Rs. 40 lakh. - Marathi films scoring 51% to 69% marks are Graded “B” category and granted a
financial assistance Rs. 30 lakh.
Every year State government declares State Film awards, wherein the 1st best movie
gets a prize money of Rs. 4 lakh.
To avail this scheme should be residing in Maharashtra state. The grade determined by the Film Examination Committee at the end of the examination will be final. No film will be re-examined. Each film submitted for financial assistance is required to be shot at Goregaon Chitranagari or Kolhapur Chitranagari with a minimum rental fee of Rs.1.00 Lakhs. Otherwise Rs 1.00 lakh will be deducted from the funding of that film. The Government reserves full rights to change, amend or interpret the
rules in the said scheme. Government orders in this regard will be final and binding on the concerned.
- Application form prescribed by Maharashtra Film Theater and Cultural Development Corporation along with film story, screenplay, dialogue copy and relay DVDs/DCP (Digital Cinema Package) and profit and loss balance sheet and other relevant
documents certified by a Chartered Accountant.
