Rural Poultry
Establishment of poultry farms, hatcheries, and brooder units.
Sheep and Goat
Setting up breeding farms for sheep and goats.
Piggery
Establishing pig breeding farms.
Feed and Fodder
Development of fodder production and storage units, as well as value addition units for feed.
Key Factors of a NLM Scheme
- 50% capital subsidy for rural ventures.
- The subsidy caps for the projects are Rs. 25 lakh for Poultry, Rs. 50 lakh for Sheep &
Goat, Rs. 30 lakh for Pig, and Rs. 50 lakh for Fodder.
- 5 to 9 years with Grace period of 6 months to one year.
- The National Livestock Mission scheme may require collateral, but the
specific requirements can vary depending on the financial institution and the loan
amount.
